God bless the grandmothers and babysitters and dads and moms and the next-door neighbors and everyone who drives a child to Sunday school or teaches a class.
God bless the people who do all the little jobs and make life bearable.
God bless the folks who open the door when your arms are full of groceries.
God bless the cleaners and cart stackers and grocery clerks,
God bless the street sweepers and the garbage people who pick up our messes every week.
God bless the daycare workers who change your babies and entertain them and hug them.
God bless you for the small things you do for your family and your co-workers.
A small thank you goes so far.
Who did you thank today?
Did you encourage the youngster gathering up the shopping carts?
Did you tell the store clerk how good she was at her job?
Or were you the cranky complainer because you had to wait five seconds more for the trainee clerk to finish your order?
Did you beep your horn at the slow driver ahead?
Do you leave a trail of blessings or curses in your wake?
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:10)
