Pace Yourself

I was on my way to an appointment this morning and ended up behind a very slow-moving vehicle.

The speed limit was 100 and they were doing only 80. They were weaving a bit from side to side. Were they really young and still learning to drive?

Or maybe they were elderly and had lost all their confidence.

Or maybe they were high on some kind of drugs.

Or maybe none of the above! Maybe they were just a bad driver.

By the way one of their turn signals was missing. I found this out when they stopped dead in the middle of the four-lane highway and then leisurely made a right turn at the exit.

What do we do when we get behind people who don’t travel at our pace? You know the ones. They don’t see your vision for the family or the church board is undecided about your best idea.

We have a work innovation and nothing happens.

What can we do? What do you do?

Whatever we do we must do it with grace and love under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

And do everything with love. Let all that you do be done in love. Let all your things be done with charity. Let all that you do be done with love. (1 Corinthians 16:14)
