Even folks who get the flu shot complain that they get the flu: nope, not likely. Instead you likely had food poisoning. My friend confessed that everyone in her family was sick every Christmas. They were adults before they figured out that their mom’s poor food habits likely caused it.
We can help ourselves to better health. Here are some expert opinions. Get the flu shot! Wash your hands repeatedly, especially when working with food.
Put food in the fridge. That is what a fridge is for. Make sure your food is well cooked. If eating out, check the washroom. If it is dirty and dingy so likely will be your food.
Don’t share germs. Sneeze or cough into your elbow and finally, positive people get sick less so practice being joyful and positive. Expect the best in life.
In spite of that, there are some things we will want to catch.
Jesus said to Simon, “There is nothing to fear. From now on you’ll be fishing for men and women.” They pulled their boats up on the beach, left them, nets and all, and followed him. (Luke 5:10-11, MSG)
Prayer- Lord, this Christmas season, let us bravely eat our food without fear and share your love with others. Amen.
