Good News

Good news for the poor. Well, yes that’s me.
I am one of the poor of life you see.

Bad news is the issue, Life has been hard.
Some days I feel abandoned, neglected and tired.

Suffering has been the key to all that I am.
Cancer, death, trouble, my life in a jam.

Forgotten by the world, Christ stands for me.
His voice calls my name. He remembers me.

Freedom.  That’s it. He sets the oppressed free.
Praise! Hallelujah! Yes, that includes me.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:3, NIV)

Prayer – Father, thank you for setting us free to be all you have in store for us to be! Amen
