Grandchildren Fables

What stories will we tell our children about the big hunker down virus events of 2020??

Grandpas had to haul groceries on his back through mud and mire for the car was out of gas. Grandma started to bake her own bread. We ate canned soup for weeks because Granny was a terrible cook. Oh sure, we will embellish.

Jesus never did that. He just told the straight on truth. Read some examples below.

The Son of Man must suffer many things and be deliberately disapproved and repudiated and rejected on the part of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be put to death and on the third day be raised again.

He said to all, If any person wills to come after me, let him deny himself, disown himself, lose sight of himself and his own interests, refuse and give up himself and take up his cross daily

He will follow me, cleave steadfastly to me, conform wholly to my example in living and, if need be, in dying also.

Whoever would preserve his life and save it will lose and destroy it, but whoever loses his life for my sake, he will preserve, save it from the penalty of eternal death. (From Luke 9:22-26, AMP)

Let’s stop our high falutin’ stories and instead share the truth of the Christ with our loved ones.

Prayer- Lord we honor you. Help us to do it all the time in every way. Thanks, Lord for the opportunity of a happy ending… ours. Amen.
