Granny’s Sauce

Does anyone know what this recipe is supposed to be? I found it in my Granny’s files, but it has no name. Is it a BBQ Sauce, a marinade or a shrimp dip? Who knows?

• ¾ cup salsa
• ¾ cup catsup
• ¼ cup brown sugar
• 5 tablespoons apple or orange juice
• 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce

I can guess all I like, but only when I follow the recipe will I find out.

Like my Granny, God gives us recipes that don’t always make sense. He tells us to do things that confuse our brain. He gives us Bible truths that are sometimes hard to follow.

But, like Granny’s scribbles, when we follow God, we will learn that indeed He knew what he was doing all along.

P.S. I browned chicken pieces, placed them in a baking pan and spooned granny’s sauce over it. Then I baked it at 350° F till cooked through!

Prayer – Father, give us the grace to follow you no matter what the ‘sauce’ is like. Amen
