How to Make Good Decisions

Pray about your circumstances. Asking your omnipotent God for clarity is a good start.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

We can trust God completely especially if we ask according to his promises.

“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” (Isaiah 30:21)

Is this something you really want to do, love to do, or just feel pressured into?

Will this thing bring you closer to God and his son Jesus Christ, or will it interfere with your relationship with them? Are you gifted in this particular area?

“Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)

You will know if it is the right decision because God will give you peace.

His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7)

Finally, you can ask others for their opinions, but make sure those ‘others’ also know and love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. And trust God’s promises.

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”   (Philippians 4:19)
