Trust In The Lord

There’s a show on the television network TLC aptly titled “I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant.”

Many of the stories begin with a woman being told she will never be able to conceive a child. So, obviously, it comes as a shock to the women to discover that pain in her belly is not a cancerous tumor. She’s not dying, she’s having a baby! Sometimes, these women find out they are pregnant with twins!

Ever wonder if God has a sense of humor?

In Mark 10:27, Jesus said that with God “all things are possible”. There are numerous stories in the Bible where trust and faith in the Lord is the path to overcoming all odds. Abraham and Sarah had Issac when Sarah was 90. Sarah laughed when she heard she would bear a son. She told God she did not laugh, but God heard her and he said, “Yes, you did.”

There are several examples in the Bible where human timing is not God’s timing, but God’s timing is perfect, because God is perfect.

As humans. it’s hard to see what God is doing when in the midst of trials, but take comfort, Romans 8:28 says that “in all things God works for the good of those that love Him and are called according to His purpose (NIV).” What God says He will do, He will do. Let it go and relax. Take life as it comes. Trust in the Lord.
