Joyfully And Triumphantly

The prophets Isaiah and Micah foretold His birth.

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.  And he will be called  Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.” (Isaiah 9:6-7) (NIV)

“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” (Micah 5:2) (NIV)

The Israelites had grown up in the temples hearing of the coming Messiah. He would be born in Bethlehem of the line of David, He would be the King of all Kings who would deliver His people. He would be the prince of Peace. They looked forward to that day. They looked for the signs. They longed for His coming.

Can you imagine the joy for those who believed Jesus was the Messiah? Do you share in that joy of personally knowing Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord?

” O come all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant. O come ye O come ye to Bethlehem. Come and behold him, born the king of angels. O come let us adore Him. O come let us adore him. O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.”

Share that joy with others this Christmas. Share joyfully. Be triumphant for His glory. Let everyone you come in contact with know the joyful news, Emmanuel, God is with us.

“Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous;  it is fitting for the upright to praise him.” (Psalm 33:1) (NIV)

O Come All Ye Faithful

Remember, ” For God so loved the world…. (John 3:16)”
