If we took the Wesley Covenant seriously, we can use this poem to find our way.
You tell on yourself by the friends you seek.
By the very manner in which you speak.
By the way you use your leisure times,
And by the way you spend your dollars and dimes.
You tell who you are by the clothes that you wear,
By the attitude at how life’s burdens you bear.
By the kind of things at which you snicker
And the stuff you share on that old Twitter.
You tell who you are by the way that you walk
By all the things you share in all of your talk.
By the way you face and overcome defeat
And yes, all the stuff you chose to eat.
You tell who you are by the books that you read
And the way you treat a person in need.
Don’t try for a life of false pretense,
We know you by the way your life makes sense.

But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, (1 Peter 1:15)
