Missing Much

There is nothing more upsetting to a writer than the disappearance of some of their work. Like the one time when I had half the devotionals written. The computer swallowed them up and spit them somewhere into oblivion.

That meant that I had to start writing all over again. Thank God who lends a hand with words and ideas. Hopefully, those new devotionals were better than the ones that disappeared.

At least I knew what to do when my words went missing.

I prayed.

I asked God to give me words so that I wouldn’t lie awake stewing over my circumstances and of course, he did!

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. (1 Corinthians 1:27)

I prayed, went to sleep, and never gave it another thought. The next morning, a neighbor came over and fixed the problem. The lost were not found but it never happened again.

What about you? What have you lost?  How are you dealing with it?

Thank God, for a God who gives us grace to endure life’s trying situations without complaint.
