World Gospel Mission and The Mission Society are teaming up to promote missions as a way of personal evangelism to church members and college students. The groups are creating Global Outreach Weekends based on Acts 1:8 — “And you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth,” The two-day seminars are designed to work with pastors and leaders to determine a missions plan for their church or institution. “One college we are working with is struggling to help students realize that just because they don’t feel called to international missions doesn’t mean they get a pass on the Great Commission,” said Todd Eckhardt, director for Partnership Development for World Gospel Mission. “They want to broaden the emphasis of their missions week to include all areas of missions, not just international.” Links: World Gospel Mission: http://www.wgm.org/Page.aspx?pid=2858 The Mission Society: http://www.themissionsociety.org/
