We live in an over-indulgent world, don't we? Our lives are characterized by more than enough. Even if we don't have more than enough money, we have more than enough cars, clothes, shoes, food, stuff. Most of us have more than enough things to make it through it day.
So why do we settle for just enough when it comes to Jesus?
We take just enough Jesus with us to make it through each day. We do 90% and use Him for the 10% we can't handle. At the end of the day we are worn out and exhausted. Is this how it should be?
Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. 1 Chronicles 29:12
Jesus has all authority. He has the power to give us strength. The Word says that those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. (Isaiah 40:31 ESV) So why do we try so hard to do it on our own?
I challenge you today to give it all to Jesus. Don't move ahead on your own, but wait for Him. Discover all that Jesus has to offer and see for yourself that He is more than enough.
