That is the title of my collaborative book. Five survivors took it upon ourselves to write poems, stories and personal experiences into this book and also we left lots of space for personal journaling. It is a determinedly joyful mix of the good, the bad and the ugly of Cancer.
I am going to post parts of it occasionally for you to enjoy. It is surprisingly up-to-date for this in this nasty virus event.
Today
Today I am strong. Today I am safe.
Today I can look after myself.
Today I have set good, strong and solid boundaries.
Today I can release the heaviness of my anxiety,
And not fall apart over it.
Today I can be safe with my different emotions.
Today I can focus my energy right here,
With me, in this moment.
Today I can allow myself to love whom I love,
Without fear or regret.
Today I am grateful
For all of the experiences in my life.
The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad. (Psalm 118:24, NIV)
Prayer- Lord thank you that no matter what is going on out there, You are always here and keeping us safe in the arms of Jesus. Amen.
