Your Name (Thinking Letters – Part 4)

Years ago God slipped this into my mind. Beloved.

B-Brenda

E-Eternally

L- Loved

O-overwhelmingly

V-Valued

E- Endlessly

D-Dear.

I thought this morning we might find means for our own name. We only have to ask God how He values us and look up a verse for it!

Let’s try Fred.

F- Faith (Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1, NIV)

R- Rejoice (Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again. (Philippians 4:4, NIV)

E- Encouragement (You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry (Psalm 10:17, NIV)

D-Discipline (Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among  the wise.(Proverbs 19:20, NIV)

Fred- full of faith, rejoicing in encouragement and discipline! 

Wherever you are Fred, the Lord popped your name into my head. I could have used Jim, Samantha or Herod but the Lord gave me Fred. Be encouraged today, no matter what.
