June 20th is set aside to honor our fathers who provide, love and care for us. For many people Father's Day is a day of picnics, dinners, gifts and that quality time that we all seem to struggle to find in today's busy rush and hurried world. For others it's a day of sadness, sorrow and regrets. After all we do not live in a perfect world. There are many people who do not have the fond memories of a caring, loving and giving father for various reasons. While there are others whom once had that father that helped skinned knees feel better, taught them to ride a bicycle, bought them their first puppy and even taught them to drive and escorted them down the aisle when they were married. They now only have cherished memories and photographs to remind them of what a special person their father was. Fathers can be categorized in many ways. But my father is in a category all of His own, my heavenly father that is. On this Father's Day don't forget that we all have a Heavenly Father who loves us unconditionally and will never leave us or forsake us. Our heavenly father can and will provide our every need, He will never let us down and will always encourage us, cheer us up when we are sad, befriend us when we are lonesome, answer when we inquire, save us when we are lost and love us unconditionally. Today take a moment to not only wish your natural father happy Father's Day, but take a few minutes to wish our Heavenly Father a happy Father's Day as well, after all He worthy of our praise. Ttake a few minutes to thank Him for what He has done, what He is doing and what He is going to do in your life.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
