I don’t know who is in charge of creating a ‘National Day.’ I am giving you the highlights here, but there are thousands more. Yes, there is a National Brenda Day. Who knew I was so important!
National Cook for Your Pets Day, Deviled Egg Day, Housewife’s Day, Chicken Lady Day, Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds Day, Forget-Me-Not Day, and even Pizza with the Works Except for Anchovies Day.
And it continues with National Pickle Day, Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day, Take A Hike Day, Mickey Mouse Birthday, Red Mitten Day, then Eat a Cranberry Day, Buy Nothing Day, Mason Jar Day, and even Stay Home Because You’re Well Day
I could go on. There are hundreds of them. I guess the moral of this devotional is to enjoy every day, because…well, why not? After all, God advises us to do it.
Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
