Pebble Attack

I’m driving behind a big gravel truck today and I know to stay well beck because occasionally a stone or two will escape and pelt the car. Yet even though I am way behind a pebble bounces out of the truck onto my windshield. Thankfully, it did not crack it.

Friend, most of what we face every day is a myriad of small pebbles trying to hit us where it hurts. But God stands between them and us.

Our problem is that we forget that we are already covered.

The Lord will protect you from all evil. (Psalm 121:7)

In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for You alone, O Lord, make me to dwell in safety.    (Psalm 4:8)

He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings, you may seek refuge. His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark. (Psalm 91:4)

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold (Psalm 18:2)

And finally,

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it and is safe. (Proverbs 18:10)
