We all face rejection at some time in our lives. The roots take a deep hold and too often determine our path forward.
Some of us face more rejection than others. Think of Joseph, rejected by his brothers and thrown into a deep, dark pit. Sold into slavery by his very own brothers. His good for an employer was compromised by the employer’s wife. Betrayed by cellmates. On and on it went, yet somehow Joseph maintained his faith in God, his enduring attitude and his ever-expectant belief that God was still on his side, no matter what circumstances arose.
How goes your life right now? Family issues? Employment problems? Children testing your strength?
How will we display our God in the midst of the awful of life?
Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. (Psalm 51:12, NIV)
We work hard with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it.
(1 Corinthians 4:12, NIV)
