We pour our heart and soul into conquering our big troubles. Things like illness, finances and even death become issues to face, work through, and conquer. But I suggest to you that it’s the small things that take us down.
Does it really matter if I choose to be happy today?
Did I do something that caused my illnesses?
Did I eat something that brought on the loss of my baby?
That dream was so disturbing. God, what does it mean?
Should I be afraid of…?
How many times have I restarted my life because of the same problem?
Do I really believe that God loves me, even though…?
I know that God says to forgive…but it’s just not in me.
These small things are attached to bigger issues. Will we trust God to help us understand?
Give a cool cup of water to someone who is thirsty, for instance. The smallest act of giving or receiving makes you a true apprentice. You won’t lose out on a thing.”
