Repaired

Nehemiah 3 contains the word repaired, thirteen times in thirty two verses. It was a big day for Nehemiah and all the workers when they had repaired, actually finished building the walls of Jerusalem. The finished wall was a project well done; essential and glorifying to God.

Nehemiah worked on a few relationships while he built that wall. He had to get everybody on the same side and it wasn’t easy. (See chapter 4!) It never is. Dare I ask what relationships need repairing in your life? Is there someone with whom you need to make amends? What can you do to set that in motion? What difficulties or disagreements will you have to overcome?

It’s not worth it, you say. Well God thinks it is.

If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. (Romans 12:18, AMP)

For if you forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins]; your heavenly Father will also forgive you. (Matthew 6:14, AMP)

Prayer – Lord, Give us the courage to face the truth, and work toward peace. For Christ, Amen
