Now we know that phrase to go something like this… “Are you saying yes to the dress?”
I’ve been thinking of the times I said yes when it was out of my comfort zone.
Boyfriend: “Will you marry me?
Me: “Yes” (to the most wonderful man ever and a very happy life.)
Buyer: “Do you have any cookbooks or recipes for singles?”
Me: “I’ll send you some.” (I went home, wrote the book, sent the recipes)
TV hostess: “Would you be a guest on my TV show?”
Me: “Yes.” (Turned out I was a natural and I ended up with my own series.)
The best yes I ever gave though, was when someone asked me if I wanted to invite Jesus to forgive my sins, and come to live in my life. (I have never been the same.)
What opportunities have you turned down? What have you missed?
Make the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:16, NIV)
Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. (Colossians 4:5, NIV)
Prayer – Father, open our eyes to the opportunities around us that you provide every single day. Amen
