We had a miracle in our church this week. One of our little ones was born with a cleft palate and also completely deaf. The family got her fitted with the tiniest hearing aids ever and prepared for a future unlike what they had expected with a newborn.
She is two now and surgeons were able to correct the cleft palette; and a miracle happened. One the surgery was over, the little darling heard us all perfectly!
Sometimes our ears are stopped up by other problems. It may be medical or just plain dullness or even God-induced.
God said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s not going to listen to a thing you say so that the signs of my presence and work are going to multiply in the land of Egypt.” (Exodus 11:9, Msg)
Our job is to clear out what we can and depend on God for the rest. When ears need opening, God opens them.
Prayer-Lord we do not pretend to know your ways. We only know that we can trust them. Amen.
