Stumbling

In spite of the following verse, I stumbled, slipped and fell this year, physically at least. Quite frankly, it was my own fault so I cannot blame God for my own lack of care and attention.

Now to Him who is able to keep you without stumbling or slipping or falling, and to present [you] unblemished (blameless and faultless) before the presence of His glory in triumphant joy and exultation [with unspeakable, ecstatic delight] — (Jude 1:24, AMP)

Thank God, in spite of my own clumsiness, the Lord still presents me unblemished, blameless and faultless before him with unspeakable delight. Consider that for a moment. God absolutely loves us so much that no matter what, he sees us through his eyes of love.

I would like to say that I do the same but I have to confess that I am not always as kind to others as God is to me. Perhaps we might resolve this year to see others through God’s eyes instead of our own.

Prayer- Lord, when others stumble or fall, help us be as understanding and forgiving of them as God is of us. Amen.
