Summer’s Gone

Well not quite yet, but summer is indeed flashing by.

Have you fulfilled your summer dreams yet?

Have you been to the beach with your children?

Did you hold that BBQ for the family?

Did you visit that local museum?

Read that best seller you bought in January?

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. (Ephesians 5:15-17)

But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have the strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:36)

Watch your step, friends. Make sure there’s no evil unbelief lying around that will trip you up and throw you off course, diverting you from the living God. For as long as it’s still God’s Today, keep each other on your toes so sin doesn’t slow down your reflexes. If we can only keep our grip on the sure thing we started out with, we’re in this with Christ for the long haul. These words keep ringing in our ears: Today, please listen; don’t turn a deaf ear as in the bitter uprising. (Hebrews 3:12-14)
