Thawing

October 12 is Thanksgiving Monday in Canada, so if turkey is your bird of choice for dinner, he’d better be thawing right this minute. (Dear Americans, you might want to save this info for your own dinner on November 26!)

There are just two ways to safely thaw that bird. You can thaw it in cold water, breast side down, still in its plastic wrapping. Completely cover the thing with cold water. You should change the water every 30 minutes and allow about 30 minutes per pound to complete the job. (There goes your life!) Or if you start soon enough, like three days ago… put it on a tray in the refrigerator and just wait… a long time.

Either way you eventually get turkey dinner.

Sort of like prayer isn’t it? Expect an answer, don’t know when it might happen, wait and see, but eventually? God answers our prayer one way or another.

For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]. (Mark 11:24, AMP)

Happy Thanksgiving all.

Prayer – Lord, we ask and wait and trust…Amen
