The Romans Road

Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. (Romans 8:12, NLT)

Really! Then why do we still sin? What are we missing? Here is the rest of the story.

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. (Oh!!) (Verse 1)

Verse 2 states that because we belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed us from the power of sin that leads to death. (What a relief!)

God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. (Verse 3)

When we let the Holy Spirit control our mind it leads to life and peace! (5-6)

The bad news is that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all. (9)

The Great news is that you can choose to have the Spirit of Christ living in you, be forgiven of your sins and live a life of peace. All you have to do is ask…

Prayer – So God, I admit I am a sinner and deserve death; but I am taking you at your word that Jesus died on the cross to save me from sin and death. Please forgive me of my sins and come to live in my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen (Romans 3:10-12, 23, 5:8, 10:9-10, 13)
