Money is tight right now. Everyone is feeling the pinch. What do we do in tough times?
Don’t buy on impulse. We are prone is see, pick up and cart stuff we will be sorry for later.
Frozen fruit and vegetables are just as healthy as fresh ones, keep longer and are cheaper.
Small packs of food are expensive. Buy a big bag of chips, portion it out in individual portions.
Make Garbage Stew. Save all leftover bits of meat and vegetables in a freezer container. When it gets full, add broth, simmer and serve. Waste not and want not!
Note Jesus’ example about leftovers.
When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. (John 6:12)
Use coupons when possible.
If your grocery store gives points for purchases, make use of it!
Make a grocery list. Stick to it!
Most of all, trust God to provide. After all he says this.
The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:14)
