What About Your Pastor?

Yes, we have special days to remember our special ones…oh yes, mothers, fathers, the mailman, the local firemen, even our pastor. I once asked my mom when we had children’s day and she replied that every day was children’s day!

Currently, we are supposed to be kind to our pastors on October 8 which is suspiciously linked to the Canadian Thanksgiving day. Seriously?  Every person invites them for dinner that day, I guess,  and the pastor has to say no to 99% of the folks who are then off the hook for appreciating the pastor.

There is more to it than that. It’s an ongoing thing.

Appreciate your pastoral leaders who gave you the Word of God. Take a good look at the way they live, and let their faithfulness instruct you, as well as their truthfulness. There should be a consistency that runs through us all. Jesus doesn’t change—yesterday, today, tomorrow, he’s always totally himself. (Hebrews 13:8, MSG)

Prayer- Father we thank you for Godly pastors who lead and teach us in the way we should go. Amen.
