This year I was one of the authors privileged to participate in the local library event, Books and Bites. For a small fee, local restaurants provided beverages and a dessert while an author spoke about their writing and then read a chapter or two from their current book.
It got me thinking about The Book, and how we bite into it. Do we read the Bible for information or for transformation? There is a big difference.
But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.(Isaiah 40:31)
Prayer- Lord, may we bite into your Word with expectation and hope. Amen
