Can God Use Facebook to Answer Prayers?

I knew something had to happen soon. My husband, Bruce was getting worse and worse. The dementia was progressing rapidly. Bruce was finding it harder and harder to form a simple sentence. He couldn't communicate to tell me his needs; He couldn't do the simplest tasks for himself. If this kept up I wasn't sure what would happen, but I knew that God was with us, had been with us from the start of this nightmare, and He would direct.

“Lord, I need your wisdom,” I whispered. “Direct me; show me what I should do to help my husband.”

It was a simple but heart-felt prayer. And God heard.

The next day I had a new friend on Facebook. I don't remember whether I found her name and invited her or whether she invited me. I don't even remember what her name was, though I wish I did, but I do remember what I found posted at the top of her page.

She had posted a video of an interview with a doctor about her experience with dementia and coconut oil. The doctor's husband had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, and so she had started on a quest to find an answer. Her search led her to studies done with medium-chain triglyceride oils and their benefits on the brain. She knew that coconut oil contained a high percentage of these oils, so she started feeding it to her husband. Within four hours her husband's cognitive skills jumped significantly.

I had purchased some coconut oil on a whim a few weeks earlier when I heard someone exclaim over seeing it on a shelf in a grocery store, and later, I had it recommended to me by a nurse, but I had forgotten about it. Now I decided that it was time to give it a try.

Within three or four hours after giving Bruce the first couple of tablespoons he was speaking in clear sentences again. He did have one relapse, shortly after starting, but it lasted only a day. After that he sprang right back and has been doing well ever since, taking care of many things himself that he hadn't been able to do for a long time.

The doctor came to see Bruce yesterday. He was amazed. He ordered another cognitive test, but he could see for himself that Bruce was much better. I told him about the answer to prayer. He believes in God. He didn't scoff. He just said, “Keep doing what your doing because it's is working.”

I believe God can use whatever method he chooses. If He chooses to use part of his creation such as coconut oil, I won't complain, and if He gives direction to His praying child through Facebook, that is His prerogative as well. And if because of the Internet, many fellow Christians from all over the world hear about my husband's plight and started praying, and God answered their prayers in His own way, I just want to keep giving Him thanks.

This sounds amazing….thank God for using coconut oil in your husband…
I am Mexican, Christian. I live in Mexico City and I would like to know how much coconut oil did you give your husband daily? Three or four tablespoons directly into his mouth, diluted, between meals…?
My brother, Enrique, suffers from dementia… it started very similar as Bruce’s illness. My brother is a Christian, too.
I pray for him every time, every day…. he is an Architect, but nowadays he is getting worse….
I believe from the bottom of my heart and soul, that this news is an answer from my beloved Lord Jesus Christ.
I will tell my sister in law (Enrique’s wife) to administer coconut oil to my brother….
We hope to see a miracle….
    Thank you for your consideration.
    Blessings
