This is my interpretation of John Wesley’s covenant service in 1775.
Dear God, I am not mine, but I am yours.
Give me to do, what you would have me do.
Give me things to do, let me suffer for you, working for you, or be set aside for you.
Lift me up or bring me to the lowest, all for you Lord
Whether I be full or empty,
Let me have everything or not one thing,
I live for your glory, your pleasure and at your disposal
Now God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit,
All I have, all that I am, is yours
I promise you this here on earth, but pray that you ratify it in heaven. Amen
Roll your works upon the Lord, commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.
(Proverbs 16:3, AMPC)
