Dishonest Pride

Does the world see you as successful, free of problems and issues, living above temptation and sin while in your secret self; you are fighting a problem that others might judge you on? You know the same kind of problem by which you judge others?

We want to look great in the world and so we keep our problem selves hidden; that is why we have no strength to fight them.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. (2 Corinthians 12:10, KJV)

We will benefit from finding a trusted accountability partner, one who will listen to our struggles and help us bend our knees toward them in prayer.

Note how Paul shared his problem.

Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn’t get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. (2 Corinthians 12:7, MSG)

Prayer-Father point us to the exactly right person who will help us deal with our hidden sin in a Godly manner. Amen.
