I recently gave an interview to a columnist who asked the following questions. I hope by sharing these, you will understand my commitment to everything Jesus.
Q. How can you write about so many painfully honest topics, yet make them into a funny read?
A. It took me a while to learn that laughter really is the best medicine.
Q. ‘Meeting Myself’ must have dredged up memories best forgotten. Why did you write about your abuse after all these years?
A. I needed to spotlight that awful experience so that it no longer had power over me.
Q. Your husband died such a short time ago but here you are writing about it in The Pregnant Pause of Grief. How can you stand it?
A. I had to get my grief out where I could examine it. (See question 2) Readers tell me that the book actually chronicles their own pain and helps them understand it more.
Q. Do you have a motto for life and if so, what is it?
A. Yes. I believe Jesus is the answer to every question.
Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
(Colossians 3:17, NIV)
