Stage of Change

We want to, oh how we want to, but we don’t seem to. Let’s start together then.

  1. All change begins with contemplation. Will I or won’t I? How painful will change be? Do I really want to? Am I only doing what others expect of me? Do I have the gumption to pull it off?

What are the pros and cons to my changing?

  1. The second step is preparation. When will I start? What do I need? Do I have the right tools? Where do I get them? What does my team look like? Have I got enough information about the changes expected? What is my time line? How do I lower my stress level about this?
  1.  Now it is action time. If I fail, will I start again? What to do first? My time line to success is as follows. I practice the well thought out behaviours from my planning days. I repeat what works and delete what does not.
  1. I did I, I did it, I did it. One goal thought out, planned and conquered. Now on to more!

And all these things are possible as we lean on the unchangeable, the solid rock, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

(Hebrews 13:8, NIV)
